Outstanding Achievement Award
of the 2026 International Conference “Numerical Computations: Theory and Algorithms” has been awarded to:
Professor Davide Rizza (United Kingdom)
in recognition of of his pioneering contributions to numerical infinities and infinitesimals and their integration into the practice of mathematics education.
Springer NUMTA 2026 Young Researcher Prize
The Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA 2026 presentation made by a young scientist has been announced at the conference website. The Prize consists of 500 Euros and a certificate. Five admissible applications have been received before the Conference.
The Selection Commission was composed of three distinguished professors:
Prof. Enrico Bertolazzi from the University of Trento, Italy;
Prof. Algirdas Lančinskas from the Vilnius University, Lithuania;
Prof. Maria Grazia Russo from the University of Basilicata, Italy.
The selection process consisted of assessing the relevance of the candidates’ research (while also taking into account their scientific seniority), the novelty of their results, and their potential impact. The final decision was made by the Selection Commission following the applicants’ presentations at the NUMTA 2026 Conference.
After an extensive discussion, the Commission decided to assign the Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA 2026 presentation made by a young scientist to:
