NUMTA 2023 Research Award to Francesca Mazzia

in recognition of their outstanding research contributions in the field of numerical analysis.

Springer NUMTA 2023 Young Researcher Prize​

The Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA 2023 presentation made by a young scientist has been announced at the conference website. The Prize consists of 500 Euros and a certificate. Four admissible applications have been received before the Conference.

The Selection Commission was composed of three distinguished professors:

  • Prof. Lou D’Alotto from the City University of New York, USA;

  • Prof. Renato De Leone from University of Camerino, Italy;

  • Prof. Giovanni Fasano from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy.

The selection process consisted in assessing the relevance of the candidates’ research (also taking into account the scientific seniority of the candidates), the novelty of the obtained results and their possible impact. The final decision was made by the Selection Commission after the applicants’ presentations at the Conference.

After an extensive discussion, the Commission decided to assign the Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA 2023 presentation made by a young scientist to:

His research contains both novel and interesting theoretical and experimental results in the field of Differential-Algebraic Equations (DAEs).
