Springer NUMTA2019 Young Researcher Prize

The Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA2019 presentation made by a young scientist has been announced at the conference website. The Prize consists of 500 Euros and a certificate.

Four admissible applications have been received by the (extended) deadline of May 15, 2019.

The Selection Commission was composed of three distinguished professors:

  • Prof. Vladimir Grishagin from Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia;
  • Prof. Francesca Mazzia from University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, Italy;
  • Prof. Julius Žilinskas from Vilnius University, Lithuania.

Applications were initially evaluated by Members of the NUMTA2019 Scientific Committee based on the materials/documents provided by each of the candidates. The selection process consisted of assessing the relevance of the candidates’ research, the novelty of the obtained results and their possible impact. The final decision was made by the Selection Commission after the applicants’ presentations at the Conference in a specially organized session.

After an extensive discussion, the Commission decided to assign the Springer Young Researcher Prize for the best NUMTA2019 presentation made by a young scientist to:

Lorenzo Fiaschi
(University of Pisa, Italy)

His research contains the novel and important theoretical results unifying in an original way some game theory models with the new paradigm of infinity calculation and combines the theoretical consideration with convincing experimental confirmation. The research can be considered as the pioneer one in this direction.
